Do you speak Star Wars?

While visiting my brother in Visalia, California, we thought it would be fun to take the boys to the Sequoia National Park conveniently located just an hour away. We pulled them {kicking and screaming} away from 5 acres, quad rides, swimming and their cousins to go on this quick adventure. The only time their attention was taken away from their desire to return to my brother's property, was to debate whether we had landed on the Endor Moon. (That is where the Ewoks live-Matt had to interpret for me)

And whether or not this was Boba Fett's ship! (interpretation: no one in my immediate family is ever going to shoe shop with me!)

This famous tree, General Sherman, is 275 feet tall and 103 feet around and don't my boys look thrilled about it? Well, Matt and I thought it was very cool!

  3. oh my gosh - that picture of your boys takes me back to my childhood vacations.... my parents fascinated at interesting facts, my brother and I bored out of our minds, and LOTS of pictures to document the occasions! :) You gotta do it for your kids; they may hate it now, but they'll remember and talk about it forever. {the best part is your interpretation!! call me - i'll go shopping ANYTIME!}

  5. Your boys are so cute. I can't wait to see them. Also, I would have loved to see those giant trees (I have always wanted to see the famous Gen. Sherman but, sadly, never have). I also speak Star Wars (my favorite movie of all time might actually be Empire Strikes Back, but don't tell anyone), AND I love to shoe shop, so what does that say about me? I am a MEGA nerd, but with a little style? Counting down the days till we're there!
